Terms of Service

1. Who operates this

Kenfield is built and operated by Emre Cengiz, acting as an individual. "We" / "us" in this document refers to that person.

2. Description of the service

Kenfield is a personal learning-tracking app that lets you record learning notes, review them at spaced intervals (Root Test / FSRS), and generate weekly synthesis and recommendation reports from them.

Report generation runs on a language model. You can use the Kenfield key included in your membership, or connect your own OpenRouter key (BYOK); which one is used is your choice in Settings. The AI does not think for you -- it only reminds, connects, and asks. Kenfield makes no guarantee of any learning outcome, performance improvement, or result.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Kenfield. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials (especially your password) confidential, and for all activity under your account. If you believe your password has been compromised, change it immediately and contact us.

An account must be used by one person only; sharing or transferring accounts is not supported.

5. AI providers: the Kenfield key and your own key

When you use the Kenfield key, calls are forwarded to OpenRouter through our server and we cover the cost. A monthly fair-use share of calls and spend applies in that case; your share resets at the start of each month, and you can see what you have used in the Membership section of Settings.

When you connect your own OpenRouter key, no share applies. You are then responsible for providing that key, covering the costs on that account, and complying with OpenRouter's and your chosen model provider's own terms of use; Kenfield is not responsible for your relationship with those providers.

AI-generated synthesis and recommendation text is automatically generated; we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. You should not base important decisions solely on this content.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Kenfield for unlawful purposes, in a way that infringes others' rights, by reverse-engineering the app, by scraping it with automated tools, or by reselling access to the service.

7. Content ownership

The notes you write and any content you generate belong to you. Kenfield claims no rights over that content beyond what's needed to provide the service to you. The app itself (software, design, brand) belongs to us.

8. Pricing

Kenfield is a paid product: one plan, everything included. The web price is $5.99 / month or $49 / year; the App Store and Google Play price is shown on the purchase screen in the store's own currency. New accounts get the full product free for 14 days, with no card required.

If you don't subscribe when the trial ends, writing and AI surfaces close; your notes and reports stay readable and exportable. A membership can be bought on the web, as an App Store subscription on iPhone, or as a Google Play subscription on Android; whichever channel you use, there is one membership and it applies on every device. Store subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period and are managed and cancelled only through the store account that bought them; the web membership is managed on the web. The trial belongs to the account, and the stores do not grant a second one. If the price or pricing model ever changes, we'll clearly notify you before any change takes effect.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

Kenfield is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you in-app or by email of material changes.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
